Vaski has been producing for a number of years. Coming from the electro side, his dubstep exploits stand out from the traditional sound. “What im really trying to do is move things forward. Music is all about progression, progression within the music, and within the scene.” He first heard dubstep at a 3 day camping event in the summer of 2008. He experienced it the way it should be, played live on a good system. Upon having his face thoroughly melted, he began to write dubstep. myspace.com/vaski

Hack plays in the dark. A rising Minneapolis talent, Hack was first drawn to electronic music by the skittering, aggressive sounds of drum n’ bass. Even as he expanded his repetoire to include dubstep, breaks, electro-house and trip-hop, his focus in each genre has remained on grime-ridden basslines and beats fashioned from steel and concrete. His versatility and talent in the DJ booth has made it possible for Hack to share a stage with both legends and promising newcomers, including Ewun, Infected Mushroom, Evol Intent, and Reid Speed. Committed to a high standard, Hack’s sets are demonstrations of technical skill and crowd-amping selection, insuring that he will remain a Twin Cities favorite far into the future. myspace.com/midwest_hooligan

The founder of mplsdub is originally from the Forest Lake, MN area. KJ started mixing Drum n Bass in 2001 and it wasn’t long after that he was lost to the darker side of electronic music. He’s into music, all kinds of it. His “Dubstep Mixxx” covers one area of his musical interests. That mix is representative of old tracks that got him into the dubstep sound, songs along the way that have kept his interest, and a few new ones that are keeping the sound unique. You can find him at a number of clubs around the city djing, but it’s rare that you will hear Jon play this type of thing. Come check out some of the things that he’s doing, I promise that you will have a blast! jonathanackerman.com

Originally from the Chisago Minnesota area, Kristen was first introduced to Drum n Bass by a friend in 2005. She was instantly hooked and set forth to become a DJ herself and in 2007 she began playing out under the alias ‘Lucy in the Sky.’ Along her musical endeavor she eventually fell in love with the grimey sound of Dubstep and was the first female DJ in the MN to play it out. Her wobble heavy track selection combined with her superior mixing skills behind the decks make her the reigning queen of Dubstep in Minneapolis. myspace.com/why_am_i_still_breathing
